Born in Houston, Texas, and raised between Houston and New Orleans, where her family is originally from, Sydney first realized she wanted to become a broadcaster when she became an anchor for her high school’s morning announcements. Before then, she found solace in writing, and her innate curiosity often earned her “satisfactory” marks on her report cards because she talked too much. From there, her love of journalism developed, and at just 22 years old, she has already taken the industry by storm.
